Our History

WAeY Technologies is a wholly-owned Nigerian company with registration number 1606633.

Our Health Research & Development team has come up with VACNET – a solution that helps mitigate against child mortality in Nigeria in the way of reminder service. Our ecosystem does not only remind but also tracks the Health Centre acknowledgement of the child’s visit back into our system. This aids the audit of vaccines being taken versus child vaccinated.

A collaboration with us will help achieve our goal of active prevention of diseases right from infancy.

Our innovation strategy has been derived by working with various stakeholders which promotes a triple aim for everyone within the state:

  • reduced mortality rate
  • improve the quality of living from infancy
  • reduction of growth in health cost as illness are prevented or detected early

We are forming a collaborative community of stakeholders across Nigeria towards fulfilling our agenda.

A lot of effort and progress has been made in the past few decades in reducing child mortality across the world. Despite the progress in reducing child mortality, an estimated 5.4 million children under age 5 died in 2017—roughly half of those deaths occurred in sub-Saharan Africa. The burden of child deaths is calls for urgent action to further improve the survival chances of the world’s children.

VACNET was born out of our quest for aiding the survival chance of the Nigerian child.

The value for Mortality rate, under-5 (per 1,000 live births) in Nigeria was 104.30 as of 2016*.  Our aim to is to reduce this to less than 25 in the next 5 years by reaching out to the parent in form of awareness and vaccination reminder.

Definition: Under-five mortality rate is the probability per 1,000 that a newborn baby will die before reaching age five.

These deaths can be avoided if the child gets the required vaccination on time.

Our service is available for free to parents. All you need to do is send a text message to our system or register via our website and we will send you a reminder text with the vaccine name every time your child is due for a vaccination. Our reminder will come 3 days, 2 days and on the vaccination due date of the child.

We ensure your child never misses a vaccination thus preparing them as a future leader.

Our vaccination reminder service also cater for pregnant women and adults. The pregnant woman will be reminded of eligible vaccination when due. This can help towards the delivery of a healthy baby. The vaccination reminder service is useful to an adult, as we will send you notification when we are aware of an epidemic outbreak including the vaccination name required.
